My Experience
After 30 years as a higher education administrator, I created a small business as a virtual assistant to provide my skills to business owners in need of my skill set.
I worked in the University's Treasurer's Office where I,
Prepared meticulous reports and tracked down where to get accurate information.
Analyzed data and used the information to implement new policies and procedures.
I also worked in the Contract and Grants Office where I,
Prepared proposals and submitted grant applications.
I then went to Academic Programs where I,
Managed departmental resources.
Budget preparation and implementation
Used my critical thinking skills to make long-range decisions that affected thousands of students, administrators, and staff.
Supervised a staff of 40 people in various departments and programs within the college.
Spearheaded an innovative reorganization of departmental operations during a technological transition that saved jobs and created new opportunities.
As the manager of the College Business Office,
I oversaw the operation of the fiscal and sponsored programs for the college.
I collaborated with the Treasurer's Office, Provost Office, University's Budget Office, Grants Management Office, Procurement, Payroll, and Human Resources departments.
I developed great working relationships with all of the offices, which facilitated successful resolutions to fiscal challenges.
Additional Experience

I served as an advisor to a State Committee helping the special needs community.
I served as an office administrator for five churches and ministries.

Fun Facts about ME
I am an analytical person and I love to do research. I find an effective and legitimate way to accomplish the goals set before me. I maintain my computer skills and enjoy learning new ones as needed. I learn very quickly.
Now is the time for the next chapter in my book. I am exploding with excitement to begin this new venture as a virtual assistant.
Personally, I enjoy spending time with my best friend (my husband-Russell), my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, my extended family, and my friends.
I love volunteering to help meet the needs of others, and I can be found diligently researching my family's ancestry in the wee hours of the night. In my free time, I love to crochet, watch medical dramas on TV, and explore the internet.
Most mornings I spend time in the Word, make confessions, pray, and praise God (not necessarily in that order). After that, I am charged and ready for anything! To God be the glory!
